First I have to thank my host Bonnie for putting me up here in the heart of Beverly Hills, It is a 2 block walk to the residential section of Rodeo Drive that I walked a mile on this morning before buying some croissants and eggs for breakfast, Saw a lot of Porsche’s a classic perfect GTO and some other gems. And of course police officers in their patrol cars disobeying the rules of the road and talking on cell phones.
Bonnie made one of her HEALTHY shakes for me. Blueberries, strawberries raw cacao some green superfood and coconut water and regular water, It actually was delicious,.
Today I put on zero miles on the bike. I did jb weld my boot and it should be serviceable for the ride back to NY from the deep south if I hit cold weather again,
Last night Bonnie and Frank felt an earthquake at about 9pm. I have to say that I did not feel it. Maybe because I spend so much time around the elevated trains that shake the ground regularly. Oz I am glad you are ok I can’t imagine actually being in an earthquake and having things jumping around and breaking.
Around noon we headed out down to Sunset and rode thru the real expensive parts of Beverly Hills continuing thru, Bel Air and Pacific Palisades until we got to the Pacific Coast Highway and Malibu where we stopped for a great lunch. After that we drove south and found a free parking spot on the ocean side and walked down to the beach, It was one of those days where the sun is shining and the wind is quiet and all is peaceful and man that was just what I needed today, It was Sabbath after all and a great day to just let the world get along without any effort on my part,
One thing that brought back memories was talking to some kids in a love van parked right behind us. They were from Florida and had been in California for almost a year. The van had the high top shag carpeting and smelled like a party van for sure from back in the 70’s. A few surfers out but the wave action was elusive as the sea was calm.
There are sure a lot of expensive homes out here, Some 2 br cottages going in the millions its crazy, people pay big money to live near the water.
Sure enjoyed my time with Bonnie and meeting Frank, But all good things must end sometime and I will be heading out for more good times with Connie and Mike tomorrow. I did reach out to DonaldCC and he responded as did Paxton, but time is too tight and Don will be playing golf tomorrow when I will pass by Palm Desert,. Paxton you are too far north. Don and Paxton I appreciate the offers of friendship. Also got texts from Big BF who is available Monday to work on my bike and reached out to Connie to be sure all is ok, Also got a great call from Gig and Lulu last night We are looking forward to you coming to NY and will have the hot tub ready for y’all when you get here.
Congratulations to my brother Mike who is flying to Vegas to accept an award for his work with SecurityHunter, his company down in Baltimore doing security work for the government. Way to go Mike !!
